LBZ: Bump stop help

So as I was driving today my truck started smoking like crazy thought it was on fire. Pulled over and found that the tie rod boot blew and threw grease all over the rotor backing plate, no biggie plan on buyin Fabtech ones anyways. While I was under there I noticed my bump stops on both sides were/are resting on the lower control arms. Isnt there supposed to be a gap? If so what can I do to correct it?

They are usually touching from factory if your setup at the correct ride height.

Cool. Like the article stated I come from the world of old school chevy suspensions so was just curious. As always thatnkx ya'll.
