I dont f and tell ask your sister though.:eek: Seriously though my buddy had a driveshaft too long for his car and it slammed into the trans so hard it ended up breaking some snaprings and stuff inside. Not a duramax but the same probably applies here.

My sister just had a kid. So it's yours? Happy late fathers day!

I think the rule of thumb for a driveshaft is to shove it all the way in and it should not come out more than 5/8" to 3/4 " before it seats in the yoke.

hmm I could use more extension:happy2: But if the shaft came out of a truck that is of the same configuration as yours run it. with a lifted truck, the yoke is not going to go in as far because your rear axle is farther away now due to the lift.
