Brodix cylinder heads for the Duramax

Well the Duramax has go a shot in the arm. Brodix in conjunction with Wagler performance has come out with a performance head for the Duramax flow is 30 to 40 CFM better then the best ported head as cast.

Edelbrock is about 4 months out on their version of the Dmax head. I can now see a head war that will get the Dmax to 400 cfm in a few years

It sure took them long enough. I guess the aftermarket is starting to realize that people build performance diesels.

they are going to be available to everyone , Wagler put up the money , I guess that Brodix didn't believe in them enough, like we need one more version of the LS head or a Pontiac head . I hear the price is very reasonable , less then a set of heads and porting.

I have know about them for quit a while , but was asked to not put it out . Brodix is sending everyone to Jeremy Wagler

Edelbrock has had them on the back burner for a year. after the response to these they have bumped it to the front of the line .

What is the flow of stock heads?

from what I am told they flow 279 as cast , with a mild CNC clean up above 300 .

I was also told they are no where close to being maxed out. I have a set coming and they will go to Frankenstein Racing heads to get maxed out.

the Dmax head stock flows around 145 to 150 , and some of the best ported heads are in the 240 to 250 range.

WOW i just got a hold of Jeremy and the info is amazing. Lots of custom stuff and not just a ported stock head. All new thicker cast, relocated valves, bigger smoother passages, more flow, better spool... Retail is $6500 for a boxed set $1250 for porting...working on dealer pricing still.

I wonder what Edelbrock will try to come up with??

6500? Guess I'm out lol.Mine picked up 30 cfm Intake and 60 cfm exhaust with springs for around 2k.

They look and sound great but as with most Dmax high performance parts, they are way overpriced.
