Brakes won't hold when spooling up? Help please!

Even know the 5 star is a pretty tight converter, I agree with LBZ DMAX, your brake are probably due for an overhaul.

Brakes are good, but I think I will put SSB brakes and pads on it.

dmaxlover when I brought the truck a couple of people thought I had bought your truck or Wades truck.

Start in 2nd. Problem disappears.

In general, if you are "creeping" with good factory brakes, you are about to launch too hard and go into wheelhop.


Maybe this is why I don't get wheel hop. I spool till it creeps and then back it off a shade. No hop or pull.

i have talked to nwtdiesle on here that if you pump your brakes like 10 time they will hold a little more than without pumping. i tried that and it seems to work
