There's a position open in Phoenix that I'm trying to apply for. The job posting shows up on the jobs.gm.com site as active, but when I hit the Apply button and get linked out to Taleo, it says the posting does not exist. I'm trying to find out whether or not the position is still open. I tried the tech support phone number that's listed when you do some digging, and that connects me to a 3rd party company (Success Factors / jobs2web or something like that). That company tells me that for application issues, I need to contact GM directly. So I called the main GM switchboard, and they won't put me through to HR...basically just told me that if it's posted it's available, and to try again later. Tried several times and got 3 or 4 different operators, none could help me. One transferred me through to facilities services, and another sent me to the web site support team. I tried two other numbers for GM that I found through some searching, one is disconnected and the other gave me a message, then hung up on me. Twice.
