Just finished up a 6spd for a guy, c1 pack came out way tight on clearance at first (.055) with the parts Alto sent. Wondered if anyone else has ran into this? Usually have good luck with the carbonite packs

Not specifically, they list that pack as 99+

152755B was the part number on the box. Alto says only thing to change between the 5spd and 6spd is the apply plate, same top plate. I got it to work out with a different top plate, I just found it odd that their plate was nowhere close.

I didn't catch this was a G3 kit. I'm not sure who at Alto is responsible for this, but if you look at the old carbonite C1 kits, you will see they used a .400" thick top plate instead of a .450" plate for the 6 speed kits. That's likely where the problem lies since the clutches are listed as being the same thickness.

Mine also came in at .055 with the plate they sent. I had to machine it down to .400 thick.

Update on this.

Buddy built his 6spd yesterday, wanted me to come over and give him some direction. He bought a G3 kit, shipped right from Alto I think. It ended up coming with BOTH a .450 plate and .400 plate. I was baffled, so I checked the date on the instructions and it said 10/2018, checked a sheet from the last set I worked with and it said 03/2018. Apparently Alto has already fixed the issue. But that being said, the .400 plate was too thin and we ended up running a plate I had at .410 to keep the clearance in the 90's
