My stock Allison is giving up the ghost. I can drive but as soon as I am in 3rd gear it will limp and stay in 3rd gear with CEL on the dash. Tried even putting in Tow mode and it will get into 4th but soon with limp and lock in 5th with CEL light. I’m in TN if anyone knows a good place or if not any good solid recommendations. It is built motor, 68mm turbo, 60 over injectors, fully deleted, etc.
I wanted to come back and edit this in because I just seen where it says that he has passed and although I’ve never actually had any discussion with him I’ve read a lot on here and I’ve seen all the help he has given to everyone so I want to give my condolences.

What part of TN? Diesel Addiction is in Leland, NC. Brad @ K&D Service which is one of our vendors might know someone in the area, or can get a built unit shipped to you

Sounds like it's rebuild time. I don't know a ton of builders in that area BUT I do know what it costs to ship one there haha.

Is this something that you're looking for a drop-in transmission that is built and sent to your door, a DIY build kit, or looking for a local builder?

I can help on the first two directly, third (local builder) I will reach out to some friends and get some ideas if you're wanting a local builder.

Ok awesome. I know it says cash and carry but what would it be for me out here and can core fee be paid up front so that it can be sent back to you when it’s get taken out and new one installed?

"Cash and carry" is a term that some builders refer to as a "bench build", meaning a built unit that isn't installed.

Realistically you're looking at $5750 + $1500 refundable core ($1000 on the trans and $500 on the crate) + shipping. It's roughly $350 each way for shipping using Fastenal-to-Fastenal (Blue Lane Freight). They seem to be the cheapest overall.

Ok and that is rated up to 750 HP? Is the converter triple disk?

Somewhere around 650-750hp is kind of the industry "standard" (if there ever was such a thing) that you can run without billet parts. Brad can probably get you any brand converter you'd like but usually his pricing is with a Goerend triple disc

Yes, that is a 750hp build.

That is a Goerend billet stator billet cover triple disk converter. They're the only converter company I use with my builds as I know that product line far better than anything else AND they're only ~4hrs from me.

That sounds good, I’m just one that likes to have some wiggle room because don’t won’t to worry about it when I decide to spin the tires lol. Also want to replace flex plate as well. Is there a website and any sort of warranty, wife is definitely going to ask me that

I'll shoot you a message, I feel like that may be easier. I'll be sure to capture all of this in my message.

Sounds good bud. Luckily I work 10 miles from home but it’s not fun running 26-2800 rpm down the road to barely maintain 48-50 mph lol.

I was always incredibly happy with the Goerend converters.

Damn just thinking about it makes me almost want to build another Allison.
