$3000?!? Bed alone worth $1000-1500.
Hell, if the fire didn't hurt the engine (which it doesn't look bad at all), I would've bought it just for the drivetrain.

That is a good score! I’m starting to see more and more good deals beginning to surface. The Covid craziness is finally gone…

I went and looked at a new car for my wife the other day. The lot was full and the sales manager was following me around the lot.

Based on the pictures it doesn't appear so. I haven't picked it up yet as I had to move quick.

Around here I'm told the bed is worth $3000-$5000 if I repair the box side.
yeah those beds fetch a premium. around 3k here if its not beat to hell with busted sides.

Well got some parts inbound to finally get this project done. It involves the fuel system, air system, and transmission.

The transmission is getting built with Alto G4 clutches, Goerend "DK" converter, and a Northern Radiator cooler. The trans will go in later this year as the first step is get the truck running, since I'm not confident in the 274k mile fuel system it is being 100% replaced. Same story with the turbocharger.

Parts should be here later this week :)

While at Dynomite Diesel Products's Master Class, I placed an order for a set of 60% injectors to fuel this thing. My goals are low so this is a perfect set to make a cool/low pulse 625-650whp on.

I then hit up the folks at Industrial Injection to order a reman 10mm CP3. Thier pumps have been solid for me so instead of pushing a Sportsman/CP3K/Supersport etc style pump to it's limit I decided this was the best course of action. I NEVER want my fuel system to be worked at 100% duty cycle.

Keeping both the injectors and CP3 supplied with clean fuel, I decided to go with an Airdog II-5G 165gph pump. I really like the adjustable regulators they have on the 5G line which makes them my go-to pump these days.

While the OEM feed is likely sufficient, I can't leave anything alone. I decided to go to a 1/2" feed fitting from Fleece Performance Engineering to ensure all restrictions are gone from the system and to also keep the CP3 from wanting more fuel supply.

With all this newfound fuel, the factory turbocharger becomes the next drawback. It's no surprise that I am putting on a JZ Manufacturing LLC 63.5/66 turbo on this tow pig. They are incredibly responsive, incredibly reliable, sound great, and most of all will support my goals while allowing me to tow anything this bastard is hooked to (not pictured).

To put all this power to the ground (not pictured) I am putting together a standard K&D Service Inc 750hp unit with one exception, I am going to be running Alto G4 frictions as a test mule. These frictions have mixed reviews but I need to do my own R&D (long term) to build a proper opinion. Of course I cannot forget the Goerend Transmission converter that will help all of this power find it's way to the input shaft.

Not sure you will like the G4’s. Both test trucks i know that got mikes set didnt last long. One was a stock turbo, stock fuel truck. Other was 800hp and abused. Clearanced opened up big time and clutches were shedding alot

When you say Mike's set, was this recent? From what Alto has claimed they're not the same clutch that was around when Mike was still with us.

How's their balance rates compared to OEM?
In which aspect? OEM is balanced to +/- 5% at full load (10% window) where Dynomite (and most everyone else) targets a total spread of no more than 2%.

For example, the set pictured has a 1.5% spread at full load which is significantly tighter than OEM Bosch standards.

I've been eyeing their 20% for my setup and swap from LMM 6 hole to the LBZ 7 hole. Kinda chasing some part through efficiency

Would be their first set so irrelevant if they are not the same compound

The keyhole C3/C4 has been the best performing clutch in my opinion. It out performs any of the other "G3" variants and definitely the G4 version.

A full center console with a manual transfer would be tits, sub a bub'd for this little project. Sure you're not too busy and just want to sell it?
I got the thing too cheap and I need a reliable vehicle to tow my other junk around hahaha.

I don't see why a cable operated kit wouldn't work, it's relatively simple.
