2003 LB7 pvc replacement

My buddys got a 03 LB7 and wants to replace his PVC or PCV valve. Not sure what is called but he wants to change it. Where is the freakin thing located? I tried to search on here but no luck so far. Is this hard to get too?? Thanks for any helpppp :confused:

AFAIK, there is no "valve" on the LB7. The crankcase gasses are vented to atmosphere.

That's the valve I was referring to. The closest thing to a PCV valve on a Duramax is the one way valve that is built into each valve cover.

maybe thats what he meant...... one way valve on each valve cover......hmmmmm

You can remove the one way valve to inspect clean it, but you won't find anything special. There is a cannister on the p/s front on the engine that has the pcv gasses going into it from both valve covers, and then it splits off-1 hose goes back to the engine and the other vents the gas to atmosphere. As far as I know, it's not serviceable.
