Got the plate & bar PPE transmission cooler installed. Tested it out in 98* weather, specifically around town and didn’t seem temps above 162 in tune 5.

Stock cooler wasn’t working when caught up in traffic. Hit 215 crawling through traffic with no load. New cooler seems to knock off 30-40 degrees and makes me feel a lot more comfortable driving it in the heat.

Mishimoto has been the best cooling in my experience but I also hate their connections. Fluidyne has been a close second in my experience for 01-05 trucks.

PPE bar and plate has been in that same neighborhood from my past testing.

The mishimoto might be longer but not as tall. Also not at fan of it's connection. But thats just my opinion.

I am curious though about the PPE construction and flow of those knowing they are made overseas.
No, mine is also the PPE Bar and plate; same as his. Same size as his. No Mishi here - they developed the 6sp version on my LMM and while some like it, Mike ripped it apart to where I wouldn't touch one. :dunno

TX of course
No real tunes for “hot weather” out here. Doing so usually causes more lag on spool up. Rather deal with a little more haze than more lag
Ya I use Lambda to limit my smoke to an acceptable level to me. Then the truck seems to increase fueling in colder weather versus hot to still have the same Lambda. Since 6 months out of the year we're 90* plus and 90% humidity plus I'm always tuned for hot weather lol
