I found these 90 degree quick connect heater hose fitting that work with these heater core outlets. The factory straight fittings point almost straight into the exhaust crossover pipe.

One line from the heater core goes into the bottom rad hose, I see that one. Where do you have the top line going? It should go to the top of the thermostat housing. Am I missing something???

I tapped the coolant crossover and running the 12an line over the top of the alternator and down.

- 10ft of 12AN hose
- 2 Gates 28505 90 deg quick connect fittings
- 1 90 deg 12AN female hose end
- 3 straight 12AN female hose ends
- 1 90 deg 12AN male union
- 1 10AN to 12AN straight male union
- 1 10AN male straight push lock
- 1 12AN to 1/2 NPT standoff

Or you could use the Gates 28504 fittings and 5/8's heater hose and barb fittings.

I had used the same fittings when I first installed the compounds on my truck and I had an issue with one blowing off constantly during high rpm pulls. I tried a ton of different ones and they all did the same thing. I went back to a straight one and it solved all my problems. Just something to keep an eye on. They felt like they snapped on fine but more than a handful of times I had one of them blow off. Im not sure what was causing it, if it was just the sharp 90 and there is too much coolant flow through there or what.

Good to know...

I'm a machinist by trade, and have been thinking about making some billet ones that will accept 12AN fittings.

Built some traction bars, made from 2" DOM 1/4" wall with Ballistic fab poly joints.
