I forgot to add, I ordered my front door speakers today. I'll be running SB Acoustics SB17NRX2C35-4 for the 6" driver in the door and SEAS Prestige 27TFFNC/G for tweeters. I'll be running them active (no crossover mounted in the door) which should provide me everything I'm looking for. These were recommended to me in my price range since I can go active and should provide much better performance when compared to a passive component set as I can spend more money on the actual drivers as the crossover isn't needed.

Well got some info from the machine shop that my parts should be done and ready for pickup this week which lit a fire under my ass to get the trans built. I decided to powder coat the case Kingsport grey as it is one of my favorite colors!

The engine tins/accessories will all be this same color. The compound kit is Candy Red so it should look good.

Well I ordered an intercooler from a good friend who did a pretty good job packaging it before UPS sent it for two tours in Iraq and back. Now I get to start the fun claim process on a brand new BD intercooler........................

Doesn't the person that shipped it have to make the claim?
I hope it was insured for the full replacement value...

As the recipient I can start a claim as well. I talked with him (a stand up member of the diesel community) and he said start a claim and we can go from there.

I wasn't sure. Every time I had to deal with it, I was told the shipper had to file the claim since they paid for the service.

Always hate to see this type of thing.

Good luck on it man.

unfortunately we use FedEx at work. We’ve been told not to even try and file claims. They aren’t getting paid.

Well just got the call yesterday that the machining is done and it is ready to be picked up! I'm hoping to have it running by the end of this month with it fully finished by the end of next month as the compound piping, second radiator, oil cooler, wiring fans for both oil cooler/second radiator, all sensors for logging etc will take a ton of time to make neat and tidy.

I did also go to an LBZ rail pressure sensor and a 2000bar relief valve. I will be putting the relief valve in the back of the passenger side fuel rail and making my own lines for that. I am undecided if I want to replace all the return lines or just make it work with what goes to the relief valve. I will not leave it without a relief, I feel that the relief is a nice "oh crap" in a throttle chop situation, especially with a 12mm pump.

Here is a rundown all in one place.

*****Engine (LBZ block)*****
1) Howards X beam rods with forced pin oiling
2) Mahle motorsport 0.020" over pistons, no reliefs, with Polyphen gold thermal coating, 16.8:1
3) DLC coated wrist pins
4) Mahle bearings throughout (HX mains, split set H/HX rods, thrusts, cam)
5) ARP main studs
6) Xotic XP2 (ARP 625 equivalent) head studs
7) ATI damper
8) BD flexplate
9) LB7 crank that's keyed
10) Wagler stage 1 standard firing order cam
11) LML oil pump and piston cooling jets
12) Mahle grade "b" wave stopper gaskets

*****Air/Cooling*****
1) HSP S300/S400 kit that is all v-band except for the intercooler connections
2) Borg Warner SXE S364.5/74/0.91 and PMT S480/96/1.15 turbos
3) DHD manifolds/up-pipes with Levi's blankets everywhere (manifolds/up-pipes/pedestal/turbine housings/hot side crossover pipe)
4) BD intercooler
5) Newer GM radiator (10k miles) with Cooler Towing aux radiator and fan
6) 2020 oil cooler with external oil cooler and fan

*****Fuel*****
1) Flux Diesel Injection SAC70%
2) Industrial Injection reman 12mm cp3
3) LBZ rail pressure sensor
4) 2000bar relief valve
5) FASS 150gph pump
6) Eventually an S&B tank

*****Transmission*****
1) Carbonite C1 clutches, G3 C2 clutches with stock steels, new style G3 C3/C4 with kolene steels and LML apply pistons/return springs
2) Ratio-tek pressure kit without a shim
3) Transgo Jr with Mike's older trim springs
4) Ground converter lockup valve to eliminate knockdown
5) Mag-Hytec pan
6) Mishimoto trans cooler (if/when Mike releases his new prototype cooler I'll switch to that)
7) Goerend R converter with ARP bolts
8) New Allison pump/pressure manifold/harness/speed sensors

*****Chassis*****
1) Reece elite gooseneck/puck system
2) Traction bars (TBD yet)
3) JR Advanced Driveline/Renegade Driveline 5" aluminum 1480 shaft
4) Kodiak Truck transfer case
5) Eaton e-locker front differential

So what transpired with the intercooler shipping claim???

Still waiting on Dustin Mintern to fill out his side of the claim, it's been a royal pain. UPS wants him to submit a listing which is easy enough to do but it's just taking him a while to get things completed.

It's never easy or fun to have to deal with shipping claims...
