    Chevy1925 (James) Truck/motor build

I know the section. 215 between 95 and 15. Mine feels like it's going for altitude through that part of town.

LLY: Why use a RACE FUEL VALVE

Plugs gonna be next. I need to bottle test it first but I'm leaning towards that ..... Got a part but.ber for the cooler you're running?? Lol. All that is done already except shim/plug. That's next ...... Now where I'm gonna dig up time to do that I don't know....but it's next:D

LLY: Why use a RACE FUEL VALVE

I was running through this a couple weeks ago. Towed the camper to Oregon and back from Vegas. Had the truck the 0087 on 8 different occasions between here and Reno. Ambient temps ranged from 100-118*. I watched fuel temps climb to 230+ on a couple different occasions. Stayed in Reno for...

    Aftermarket bumpers

Looked at their gallery, they do have some nice looking options. He don't have the time or patience to deal with DIY though.

    Aftermarket bumpers

Not for me....I don't have time to do that lol. My old man smoked a deer earlier this week. $10k in damage may have convinced him to hang a bambi killer on the nose. Wants something that has nice lines, not stick out 3 ft like the ranch hand style do..

    Aftermarket bumpers

Anyone know a website(s) with a decent selection?? Trying to find one that fits an 07 LMM ....something heavy but clean. Nothing like the ranch hand style. More like the iron cross style but with a grill bar on it.

    Hayden Fan Clutch

That's usually what I wind up doing....can hear the fan start sucking instantly and AC gets cold.immediately. I do lots of towing so I guess I'll have to order another bracket for the block, get that cage back in. The big radiator shroud is still on. We're talking about the round cage...

    Hayden Fan Clutch

Guess I missed this thread. You guys feel that rear shroud on the lbz trucks makes that big of a difference?? I left it off since I had to get the bracket off the block on the driver's side when I did the water pump. After f***in with that stupid shroud support for an hour, I was ready to...

"OFFICIAL" What did you do to your D-Max today?

Had the AC refreshed last summer but I do notice once the trans temp gets over 200, the AC ain't blowing as cold when the truck idles. Might look into another fan clutch then. Not sure how.much of that is latent heat from the trans and how much is from me needing to pull the stack apart and...

"OFFICIAL" What did you do to your D-Max today?

Lol. 20k of trailer, outside temps of 118-122* depending what part of the valley I'm in. Havent checked trans temps yet but the idiot gauge on the dash holds right at 200-210. Hoping it's accurate. ....otherwise I'll be following in your footsteps. Think an upgrade in the fan clutch...

    Stupid question

Wheel size of your spare shouldn't matter....not like you're gonna drive 1000's of miles on it. I'd be more concerned that the overall tire height of the spare is close to what you have on the truck now.

    Beer of the nite

Caribe.....since apparently that's the local brew in St. Maarten. I think I'm keeping their economy afloat this week. Expecting a call from Coors any day now, with concerns to why my consumption of their usual is so much lower this month

A/C blows ice cold then just cool then ice cold again?

Mine was acting up last year. Sitting in it eating lunch, AC running, ambient temp about 105*. It was blowing cold, then went hot real fast, stayed that way for a minute then went cold again. Kept repeating this every 5 mins or so. Mike used a SnapOn AC machine to pull it down and check for...

"OFFICIAL" What did you do to your D-Max today?

I'm talking the solenoid/air switch. The compressor is pulled with 6g from the battery through a 40a relay.

"OFFICIAL" What did you do to your D-Max today?

I'm not sure on the solenoid size either. Says it's rated to 200psi. I have 12g running all the way to it, but it's mounted on the horn bracket.....So theres 20+ ft of wire before it ever reaches the battery. I have mine setup so it only works when the key is in the on position....I never use...

"OFFICIAL" What did you do to your D-Max today?

Guess you gotta drive it to use it lol. I wonder if that's my problem......Sometimes the button for the air switch won't work. Let off and hit it again and the horns light up. I have the Viair 480 in mine, hitting them at 200 psi. Think the higher pressure could be causing the air switch to...

    Lowered lly ride quality

May or may not make a difference, but the 5100s have always stiffened up the ride on any Duramax I've owned. Much better handling when loaded but with no weight on them, the ride is definitely stiffer than with factory shocks. Tires I keep at 55 front and rear since i'm loaded 90% of the time.
