    Cast iron is minimum of 500 degrees and cast steel is minimum of 250 degrees and don't let it get over 350 degrees after a pass for cast steel. That's running 7018.     Mine does it too when it's below 20. It only lopes for maybe 30 seconds then stops.

    They are the same block just the lbz and up have some more material in the webbing to make them stronger and the main caps are a little different. Gm parts direct has lml cranks for 675 I believe.
