    I bought -69 Continental from California and go to check it next week. But I have already order Ford Racing block, 572 stroker kit, Kaase heads and other engine internals, and 8-71 blower on top of it. Parts will be here in a month or so. Should be easy 1000 hp with E85.

    opinion on djm lower kit

    I had DJM kit in Punisher, it is good and easy to install, but shocks are junk as mentioned. You may want to get better shocks with this lowering kit.

    I have Duraflite, not Allison so 6-speed it out of question. But how is it with gear vendor, it will give needed gearing?

    i had around 3800 rpm in finish line at 138 mph in quarter. But it was with slicks, my street tires are smaller in diameter. I would like to keep engine rpm under 4000 in line at mile.

    Was thinking of taking Punisher pickup to standing mile. Is 3.42 rear gearing tallest available in our rear axles? Bigger rear tires would also help, what tires are suggested to stock, 16 or 20" rims that could be driven +150 mph? Or would this work...

    GTX turbos

    I had BB GT40/GT47 setup at 2009, truck did 11,1 at that time IIRC. GT40 break after few months/few thousand miles, compressor wheel begin to contact with housing. I buy new turbo, but got only few weeks before I bought bigger set of Holset´s and begin to make new setup.

    As I read thread correct, every 11 sec or slower truck builder is happy with build and would make it again. 10 sec and faster builders are maybe older, because many of them wouldnt do it again, including me :roflmao:

    I wish :rofl: Now I have very expensive 9 second street truck with flame painting sitting in back of my yard, half meter snow on it, and no interest of driving or wrenching it. It was fun to make it and build different setups, but I wouldnt do it again. :spit: And yes, i am old. I was 38...

    I have seen only marks of similar as detonation or knocking in gas engines. No flowering or cracks/holes.
