    My TDI tuning adventure

Well well well. Looks like there is already an XDF to CAX converter converter.twinrivertuning.ca

    My TDI tuning adventure

I'm actually thinking of letting Claude try and convert my XDF file to a CAX file so I can open the Bin with efi live. Then I can make all the edits there and copy/paste them into TunerPro for saving it. Since efi live won't save in bin format that I can use.

    My TDI tuning adventure

Trying to. But AI doesn't seem to understand the correct concept yet. Plus it can't drive the car and get real time feedback. But it didn't even make good use of the logs either. I bet in a few years it might make better tunes then we will ever make ourselves. I wouldn't be surprised if all the...

    My TDI tuning adventure

Part two, the fun Since I've already purchased the MPPS and software to load the tunes from the tuner. I just needed software to be able to edit the tune files. After looking at multiple options, really wish Efi Live was compatible with the TDI as it would make things much easier, I ended up...

    My TDI tuning adventure

Going to try and document my TDI tuning here Story starts with my first TDI. A 2009 Jetta. Using the CBEA engine that is common rail with the CP4.1 high pressure fuel pump. I started with a generic Malone stage 2 tune. Took the car from a stock 140HP to a claimed 184HP. Probably only added...

    Loping issue

If it's random, I'd wager it's more likely to be a collapsed fuel supply hose. Unless you've already changed them, they are over 20 years old now

LB7 Leak from Valve cover at high pressure fuel line

    01 Lb7 crank no start

Normal for the primer bulb to go soft after cranking unless you have a lift pump

LB7 Leak from Valve cover at high pressure fuel line

Shouldn't be any oil in that area. Either diesel from the high pressure line or injector body or coolant from inside the head.

    Starting in limp mode

Welcome Limp mode will always have a code associated with it unless it's been tuned and codes turned off without dealing with the reason for limp Get us a code and we can help you. There is at least a dozen reasons it can go into limp mode. So we need the code

    Aluminum Radiators?

Mine did this on the OEM radiator. Bent the little aluminum fingers open and took the tanks and gaskets off. Cleaned everything up. Applied black silicone and reassembled. Fixed the leaks without needing to purchase a new radiator Might be worth looking at your cap too, to see if it's clogged...

    June '26 Chat -- Summertime!

I'm pretty sure the property next to me took about 5' of my property line. Based on where the official marker is in the road an the measurements. My property extends about 5' past their fence. The issue is that the apartment the was built on the other side is only about 5' from the fence. If...

Bad converter or something else? No DTC's

Might be a good idea to get that truck on a transmission hot flush machine to make sure there is no debris in the cooler or other areas that will damage anything after a new converter, rebuild or whatever you decide to do
