Try adding some of the gold power service, my mileage was down and a couple tanks of the additive brought it right back up. The injectors get clogged up and cause a lot of the problems with emissions equipped trucks.- NC-smokinlmm

Knocking at cold start up
Also, they make different noises when they are in regen. Might want to see if it’s regenerating when it’s making the noise. I just switched to the new gold power service with injector cleaner and dpf flush, it actually works as advertised.- NC-smokinlmm

Try a fuel additive and see if that helps, I’ve heard some people complain about the injectors being noisy in the lm2.- NC-smokinlmm

Piston coatings?
I’ve got a Drag and Drive 408 in my regular cab. That coating holds up pretty well, I think there are 40k miles on that combo now, all of them at 11lbs of boost with big injectors.- NC-smokinlmm

I just use a red scotch rite pad and 90% rubbing alcohol and it sticks really well. I had to dye half of my lb7’s interior before I sold it. The dash was a bitch, it would be much easier with the windshield out.- NC-smokinlmm
