Ive noticed over the last few weeks the trucks EGTs being higher and making more boost than usual when driving around with no reason and not running any different, but had no codes until yesterday. Yesterday, the CEL was illuminated when I got in the truck at lunch. I pulled the following codes with my V2 (pics attached).

P003A
P2563

Ill watch vane position on my V2 next time i drive it to see what it does. Just looking to see what yall have seen and recommend.

UPDATE

I drove it again tonight and watched some pids on my V2.

I verified the MAP is responding to throttle input
I did notice that TCVPOS wasn't changing with throttle input, but would occasionally jump to a value and then immediately go back to 0.0 (highest I was able to see while driving was 20.0 before it went back to 0.0)
Where as TP_A responded smoothly to throttle inputs as I drove around. (Highest value i saw was ~34% while driving through my neighborhood)

I think it's electrical and not physical - like sticking vanes. I'm pretty sure that if you disconnect the vane controller it reads zero on the vane position. I'd test that vane control solenoid.

Electrical, like a bad vane position sensor? How do I test it?

I suspect the solenoid control valve or it’s wiring, but I’d test the vane position sensor first since it’s easier and free. Pull it out and watch the vpos as you manually squeeze/move the plunger through its stroke. If it’s reading correctly, then your solenoid isn’t moving the vanes off zero.

Finally had some time today to pull the truck in to the shop and do some troubleshooting. As soon as i popped the hood, this jumped out at me.

Looks like I'll be replacing a sensor and purchasing some rat poison. Anyone have any experience with the mouse blocker?
