    Questions regarding SAC injectors

The problem in Cali was dsp tunes. They use a custom OS number, and LBZ+ could not have the tune read via the data port so the reader would fail it. A single tune file went through fine according to some that I helped. A stock tune with sac45's will not pass. I tried it on mine and it was pretty...

01-10 steering box redhead ,PSC ,OEM

It's from a 3rd gen Dodge Ram if I'm not mistaken. They make an adapter for the input abd get a custom pitman shaft to match the splines.

    Any home A/C experts here?

The higher the SEER of the unit, the lower the difference you will see between intake and outlet duct temp. 15 degrees for a 14.5 SEER unit sounds pretty good. I know Rheem specs 12-14 degrees temp drop on there 15 SEER unit as my grandfather swore his wasn't working right when he had them put...

Gale Banks reacts to Hoonigan 1000hp build

The diesel community is fairly tight knit, Gale could have made a phone call, and found some actual facts before opening his mouth and spreading lies. Others pointed out how Gale purposely overlooked parts of the video so he could make "juicier" remarks.

    Travel Trailer Suggestions

I looked for months when I bought our 2nd one. Our 1st one was an off brand company called Hy-Line. It was an OK trailer, but it was a stick built unit, had middle of the road equipment, sat way up iff the ground for a 25 footer, and towed like crap because the axles were almost dead in the...

    Twins with Twins, Anyone?

I found a Raybestos high energy clutch disc, R572250, but it's not a waffle cut, just a black high energy friction.

    Electric fan clutch pinout

I do not have the pinout, but I believe it is the red & green wires that operate evc coil to control lockup.

    Upgrade to electric fan clutch?

Some of the 6.5 guys have been using the 09 van fan and evc fan clutch on there rigs as they're notorious for overheating. 3 wires are for the hall effect speed sensor and 2 go to the heating element in the evc. They are not an instant on design. They basically covered over the spring on the...

Gale Banks reacts to Hoonigan 1000hp build

I've heard from some people working at oshkosh that overheating has been an issue abd they're now working on version 3 with Banks on the design. I don't know it 1st hand, just what I've read.

Gale Banks reacts to Hoonigan 1000hp build

My biggest gripe was Gale made this video with no details or backstory. He ran Guy into the ground and it wasn't even one of his, he was just there because he is the efilive distributor, and came in to help get it started up. To me it sounds like it did pretty good for being a hodge podge...

Gale Banks reacts to Hoonigan 1000hp build

Anybody else watch this? Thought it was very unprofessional of Gale to be talking about others like this. Looks to me like he has gotten high on his fame from his fakebook videos. Granted the engine had some issues and some obvious constraints because of what it's going into, but totally...

    Untuning dsp5

I would. I only use the stock base file for 03-05 trucks so things like the oil pressure gauge work properly, cruise, power windows, and ac.

    Untuning dsp5

The problems I believe were with operating system mapping and dsp5 switching via the edge

    LB7: rpm gauge

01/02 clusters don't normally give much trouble, it was 03-05 that was problematic. You say if you plug in a scanner it works correctly, but messes up if you don't have it plugged in? I know 01/02 had alot of databus problems that caused weird issues from the abs module and/or the ground under...

    Untuning dsp5

I recommend all 01/02 run the 6006(unless running an edge), 03-05 MUST use the stock base file. I would not put a tech 2 on it to flash it if it were mine, way to many corrupted lb7 ecm's from tech2 flashes(grant it 01 was the worst, but 02-04 are still fickle creatures. If it's locked you'll...

And the wet belt drive variable displacement oil pump worries me. I know to most it doesn't seem like a big deal to have the trans pulled at 150k miles to replace a belt, but not to me.

    Changing RV batteries

Trojan is good, but they also sell powertron. Same battery, just less warranty. I would check golf cart shops as that is where you'll get your best prices. Also look online and craigslist. A local shop knocks off $15 a battery if you ask for the online price.

    LB7: SAC-style Injector Life

I ended up going to a mix of lly pilot timing tables, lb7 main injection, and went from there iirc. It's been awhile since I messed with it.

    Lbz tune

I know somebody that changed it and his would go into grade braking on level ground when he touched the brakes and all kinds if stuff. Leave it alone, we don't have access to but maybe 1% of what's in there, so be VERY careful making changes.

    4L80e Build for 550hp

Use the transgo afl, not the sonnax. Make sure there kit comes with the "self regulating" boost valve, last I checked there kits did not include it because it's $75 by itself. The overrun kit is only for 97+, it will not work on a 91-96. It's mostly for snow plowers. The HD2 kit isn't all bad...
