New lml engine build, no fuel rail pressure

Did you ever check to make sure the regulator on the rail isn't dumping fuel back into the return while cranking? That's usually what I see is the main problem when the LML trucks aren't building rail pressure. It is easy to get the wrong connector hooked up to that regulator as there are 3 in...

Bought and sold a 2016 Colorado

There's a reason people delete these newer diesels. Sometimes I think they're engineered to fail.

    New toy

Man, I'd send those drilled rotors back where you got them. Drilled rotors are just a crack waiting to happen. That's my 2 cents for what it's worth.

It actually isn't the same as what is being discussed here.

    Fixing my LBZ/ truck build

Any flange with a groove, as shown in the picture, can (and should in my opinion) have an o-ring inserted in it to help flange sealing. One thing you will have to do is get the MAF flange converted to the correct LBZ sensor.

March '26 Chat -- Madness is the Different Drummer

That's what everyone who lives in the cold likes to say, but in my experience, it doesn't work as advertised. You layer up to get comfortable, then you start working and you get hot, then you start sweating, then you get cold, or like James said you can't do anything that requires dexterity...

March '26 Chat -- Madness is the Different Drummer

Tom, I'll take the heat over the cold any day of the week. It got cold here the past couple of days (low of 29 today which I know is nothing for you notherners), and I would trade it for 100 degree high temps without question. Not to say I enjoy the crazy hot summers, but I prefer it to the...

March '26 Chat -- Madness is the Different Drummer

What you guys up north consider a solid vehicle worth repairing is really surprising to someone not in the rust belt. I honestly don't know how you do it.

The quick change option did cross my mind! I might have to look into that again.

LB7 Oil Pressure Flexing during Acceleration

For future reference to anyone experiencing something similar. If you get a low oil pressure warning on the dash, that means the ECM is receiving a low oil pressure signal and sending that to the cluster. This could be from a wiring issue, faulty sending unit, or low oil pressure. A gauge can...

I know. I'm just being stubborn by resisting. In the end, I'm sure that's what I'll end up doing.

March '26 Chat -- Madness is the Different Drummer

Thanks Tom. I'm glad I walked away with no life threatening injuries. I'm definitely still feeling the soreness, but it seems to be improving some. James, I picked up a project a few weeks ago, and I'm kind of in the same boat as you with the Mustang. Granted mine doesn't have any...

March '26 Chat -- Madness is the Different Drummer

Started responding to this last week, and got side tracked before I could finish. It was a really nice truck, and I liked it a lot. I don't really have any great pictures of it, but here are a couple I got right after I put the 37s on it. I hadn't put all the lights in the bumper at this...

1/8 mile discussion and time slips post here!

That's amazing! I kept checking facebook to see if the actual times were posted publicly. I knew it was going to be fast. That is incredible! Congrats to the team on all the hard work. I look forward to seeing what it can do as you are able to get things more dialed in.

    February '26 Chat -- The Shortest....and Longest....Month

Thanks guys. I feel very blessed to have walked away with a few minor scrapes and a sore back and neck; hopefully I'm able to fully heal quickly. The safety features and engineering in newer vehicle is pretty impressive. There are a lot of things that could have gone wrong in the accident...

    February '26 Chat -- The Shortest....and Longest....Month

I had quite an exciting day last Friday but not in a good way. I was on my way to pick up some parts for a job I was working on in the shop, when a guy decided to turn left into the side of my truck. I was unable to avoid the accident, and the impact caused my truck to roll several times. The...

    buying a 1500

If he's out on a GMT800, I would probably go with the 14-18 style truck. I like the direct injection motors, and the build quality on that generation seems to be better than the GMT900 trucks from what I've seen. DOD delete kits are pretty cheap and not too difficult to do.
