Ah....yes, one could get in trouble for that. Hypothetically, that is.......
Baby blue beater left last night with its new owner.
I was NOT sad to see it go.
I applauded their courage to drive it the 30 miles back to Flint.
They were all impressed that I offered to toss five gallons of fuel in it, so they wouldn't run out.
Little do they know that was the can of "fuelish" type substance that I siphoned out if the plow truck. It was "sort of" gasoline. I guess that makes me "sort of" a nice guy.
"it's fine, it's all fine."
I'll raise you...What you guys up north consider a solid vehicle worth repairing is really surprising to someone not in the rust belt. I honestly don't know how you do it.

$1,700. That combined with the scrap copper in the bed we put over $2,100 in her hand this week. How much did it go for?

Dealing with rust makes a person a better mechanic.
Youve got to be creative with work-arounds, making one-off tools, repairs you didnt expect, etc....shit like that.

Nice $10K kiddie car.![]()
Lol we get some of that too. Come down here to the Gulf or any coastal city and see what salt water spray does. I started a demoing the Galveston Causeway and was done in 3 years. We had some brand new equipment mostly industrial generators, compressors and light plants when we started. That was literally a pile of rusty scrap metal in 3 years. All for our big iron looked 20 years old was sent to Richie brothers to be auctioned off. Cranes where all rebuild and repainted. What you guys up north consider a solid vehicle worth repairing is really surprising to someone not in the rust belt. I honestly don't know how you do it.
I always think of that when I see people driving on the beach or just touching the waves with a vehicle. Hell even boat ramps where they back in too far. Salt water gets everywhere.Lol we get some of that too. Come down here to the Gulf or any coastal city and see what salt water spray does.
