Best rebuild kit for an LBZ?

Bottom end looks fine and there doesn’t seem to be any coolant in the oil, just oil in the coolant, which if it did happen in the turbo that would make sense because the oil pressure would be higher than the coolant meaning the oil would shoot over into the coolant side, right? Sent from my...

Best rebuild kit for an LBZ?

Yea that’s the problem, I’m not sure if they were mixing before the turbo went. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Best rebuild kit for an LBZ?

220,000 miles, didn’t really have to be rebuilt but my biggest concern was the fluids mixing and I am replacing quite a few things anyway so just decided to pull it and rebuild. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Best rebuild kit for an LBZ?

The bearing locked up and when I got home noticed coolant and oil mixed somewhere. I can’t say for sure that it happened before the turbo failed but I was thinking the housing might have cracked and they mixed there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Best rebuild kit for an LBZ?

Reason for overhaul is turbo failure, looking to go back to just an almost stock lbz. The turbo that blew was a 72mm Danville. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Best rebuild kit for an LBZ?

Rebuild my lbz and I started picking out parts individually and it got expensive quick. After looking around I found some full rebuild kits for a good price. Does anyone have a recommendation for a kit that they have used? I found some on some sites I’ve never been to before so I don’t know if...

Is scoring on the crankshaft counterweights and main bearing caps normal?

Tearing this motor apart after the bearing in the turbo locked up mid drive, dropped the oil pan and the counterweights for the crank are scorched along with the main bearing caps. I bought this truck used of course so I can’t tell what’s previous been done. I don’t like the look of it and from...

    Blew up my 72mm turbo.

Ok the both the turbines look fine and they don’t look damaged. There’s oil everywhere though. In all of the turbo piping and the intercooler is flooded with it. I have decided in getting a new intercooler and not go down the cleaning road. But there is oil in the coolant now and I’m not sure...

    Blew up my 72mm turbo.

The previous owner put a Danville Performance 72mm turbo in my lbz, the turbo is great and I loved it while it lasted but unfortunately it blew up. Something started acting up so I pulled over to check it out, I checked out what I could with what I had and nothing seemed wrong. I was out of town...

    LBZ: Taking off a 7-9

I have the 7-9 inch lift kit on my 2007 Silverado 2500HD 4WD and I am wanting to take it off. The kit quality is great for anyone wondering but I just don’t want a lifted truck anymore. Has anyone taken this kit off or know what I would have to do to take it off? To put it on you had to cut a...
