2017 L5P

I’ve applied the SOTF patch, enabled the oem+5 and performed write entire.

I cannot get it to use the SOTF vane position tables. Always commands what is in table C1 as far as I can tell.

Slot 3 is set up for 95 percent idle
Slot 4 is set up for 5 percent idle.

I’ve set th overrides to -40 also to get that out of the way.

What else could I be missing here?

What did you use to unlock the ecm?
Did you clear codes before starting?
I’ve seen a couple trucks completely ignore the tune change either until a couple restarts or disconnecting and reconnecting the batteries. Strangest things ??‍♂️

Unlocked with hpt box.

Did not clear codes

I’ll try clear codes and disconnect batteries.

Always had issues with hpt box. Worst case flash back to stock entire. Reflash entire. Clear codes and should take.
Ok I’ll try that. I have done a few entires but never went back to the stock file. Should I be worried that some exhaust parts are missing to go back to stock even for just a quick flash?

Yes and no lol 17-19 you can clear easily with most scan tools. 20+ is a pain in the ass and you’ll need a scan tool that can clear the DIC

Edit. If you can’t clear a message on the dic, try clearing it with the engine off key on, and engine on. The DIC needs a signal from the ecm that everything is okay before it will clear.

I hate the sotf crap for the new trucks. They just dont seem to work as well as the old dsp setup.
They work when the truck feels like it ? I also found if map sensor isn’t working correctly the truck will run in some weird mode I haven’t figured out why yet.

Isn’t their mode override supposed to solve that tho? Or is there more modes then they have mapped.

I’m not 100% sure. Had a truck that would boost creep at idle and start dumping fuel into the exhaust. Ghost regen, EGR opening, or cat plugging. Not sure what was going on ?

Wow, seems like HPT may need to look into it.

Tried stock file and back to custom. Cleared codes, unhooked batteries for 20 minutes. Still no luck.

Can confirm my timing table changing tho , so I’m just having trouble with the vane positions

If you drive it around, it may fix itself.
