I'm going to try to put a second gear start on my 06 but I want to be able to activate it in tow haul only. How would I go about doing that? Thank you ?

In Efi Live/HP tuners you drop the 1>2 upshift to 0 mph across the whole T/H column. In the 2>1 downshift column, you put it at something high where it will likely never be seen like 99 mph

This has worked for me. But be aware you still may get a clunk or gear bump when taking off from a stop as it tries to upshift from 1st to 2nd at really low speeds. Sometimes it's seamless, other times not

Are you doing this for the drag strip or something else?

There are separate tables for T/H and 4low. Pick the one you use for pulling

Are the tables backwards in the 6 speed files too? Used to be that the 4LO and T/H modes were mislabeled. For 2nd or 3rd gear start tunes I was just making all modes except regular drive the same

I want to say they are. But would have to look again to verify. Since I'm at work and can't look directly at the tunes, I can probably look at one of the calculators I made in Excel and see what I put in it

If you're sled pulling in 4low, start the truck in 3rd not 2nd. You DO NOT want that shift in there to upset the chassis. It doesn't take power to leave in 4low 3rd.

IMO set every table to this and just cal flash when you're about to pull. Or take the time to adjust a specific table and see what it does. A cal flash will not reset TAPs/learned values.

Same

Just be aware that T/H and 4lo tables may be swapped or not as mentioned above

They're pretty obvious. I can screenshot some of the tables if you need

Yea I would appreciate it and do you have to full flash when you do it? or can it only cal flash?
Cal flash is fine. A full flash will reset your TAPs and you'll have to relearn it. Shoot me your email and I'll send you the file I set up for my truck. The TC lockup tables were modified as well
