Any Ecoboost experts here that can help point me in the right direction?

Girlfriends brothers wife's 2013 Ford Escape with, I'm not sure what version of Ecoboost engine is going into what feels like a limp mode. In the morning, the first few minutes it drives fine. Then when taking off from a stop, the vehicle will go into what feels like reduced power and the RPMs raise up another few thousand when trying to accelerate. It's not very consistent and comes and goes at random. Sometimes it will last for 10 or so miles until she arrives at her work. Sometimes it goes away and gives her a breef period of power and then goes back to this weird limp mode

Her husband tried his scanner and said it didn't see any codes. I put my FORscan on it and it only saw one error where it said something about the body control module being incorrectly configured. And no PCM codes

I also tried logging some transmission slip parameters, fuel pressure, boost and a handful of others to see if anything stood out. But not knowing what the numbers should be I was kinda lost.

If I had to guess, I would say something boost related. Just surprised there is no codes

Only one Reddit thread I could find where someone had a similar issue and said it was a solenoid related to the turbo. All others have additional symptoms of rough running, stalling or something else that she doesn't experience. Engine runs smoothly. Starts and sounds good. Just no power and high revving when trying to accelerate.

Anyone have enough experience with these engines to point me in the right direction ?

No experience, but seems like it’s not going into closed loop after it warms up? Should throw a bank?/sensor? code though.
