I was searching online and never saw much on what they are running in the 1/4 stock, tune only, or built? Any one making soild progress on the trans yet?

The biggest problem with the L5P is they are heavy. A typical 4x4 crew cab short bed truck is around 8400 lbs stock. Once you add big wheels/tires, lifts, stereo, etc that most people do, it's not hard to get past 9k lbs. It's not like back in the day when people were actually trying to make their truck run at the track. They just want to look cool and sound cool.

Do you still work with the guy who has a RC/SB L5P?

My business partner built a RC/SB 17-19 2500 that he sold to a friend of his, but he also has a 2004 RC/SB 1500 4x4 he swapped an L5P/4L80 into that he is running on an LBZ ECM. It's not finished, and he has somewhat lost interest in the project.
