I have a 2002 the sender for about a year fluctuates. Some days it quits all together and the low fuel light comes on. I may have asked this before. Any ideas how much to have someone replace the sender. If I do it which is better. Remove the bed or remove the tank. I have no lift, and my bed has a canopy

I've done both. If you have no helper to move the bed. Then run the tank as low a possible and pull the tank. Depending on the condition of the straps, might want to put new ones on afterwards.

You don't need to completely remove the bed. You xan tilt it sideways to make room to access the sender.

I looked at you tube and 90% of those removed the bolts on the tank side and loosened the bolts on the passenger side and raised the bed on the drivers side. My concern is the canopy. I would like to just remove it and lessen the weight of the bed, but I am by myself and worry about damaging the canopy

2x4s and a jack will lift/tilt the bed without needing to remove the canopy
