Ya I am trying to use the edge and that is holding up my tuning...could you get it to turn on at all or was it just turn right off? Even if I had to hard wire in a DSP 5 switch, I just want the extra gauges.

My 01 with the 01887305 OS works perfect with the CTS. Never had a problem.

no, blower motor will turn on, blend doors work, but the a/c will not turn on (meaning it wont even engage the compressor for a split second)

The stock 01 OS work fine with the CTS, just when you upgrade the OS, so going back to the question. If we change the Vin to match the OS number so the Edge will recognize all the pids. I just can't change my vin number.....

I'm going to try again on the bench harness and see if something will work.............this is an EDGE issue...........

With a 2001-2002 you have to run a 2001 or 2002 OS, the problem is that the 2001 ECM is a unique part number/hardware configuration and the 2001 OS's suck, plain and simple.

The 2002 OS Upgrade is better for the tuning and this ugly mess only appears when a 2001 truck wants switchable tuning with the CTS.

NOPE, You have an email with a 100% working file that bench tested fine and switched fine.

It's not the ideal OS, but until the 15186006 DSP5 conversion to Serial Switching is fixed this is the best I can do.

I Updated my V7.5 software and brought everything up to date, know it is doing this???

Did you click "CHECK STATUS", if not you can't Re-Vin the ecm.

Im guessing James?? The stock OS is 15188873 and when I upgraded to the dsp5 OS it is now a 01887305.

that would be why. if you took a 02 OS and upgraded it to a dsp5 and tried to make it work in your 01, the edge will give you issues.

I switched out my ecm with a buddy having a vane communication problem and now have a security light. Will this work the same way to get rid of that light? Just take his vin as the current and replace it with the original. Or the other way around?

You will probably have to put your vin in to get it to work with the bcm.

im wanting to get another cts, are you using a 6006 base tune (02 os)?? if so what vin did you use to get the cts to work?

Tony used 4441 for for mine with a matching vin number and it has worked great.
