WOW! I stumbled upon this forum while doing a google search for "lifted dually" pics... and browsed for a bit and decided to sign up!

A little about me... ive been into classic Chevy cars since i was about 20 years old (35 now) and i like to rebuild/restore/modify them in my spare time. I have two 64 Impalas, a 2 door hardtop and a convertible. I finally got one of them done after a 4 year build and needed something to haul it to out of town shows with. About a year and a half ago i started shopping for a dually and after alot of online research set out to find an LBZ in my price range, preferably black. After a couple of weeks i found one within 3 hours of me with 14k miles on it. Ive had it for a year and a half now and I FREAKIN LOVE IT! Best decision i ever made! I have pulled the car to about 6 or 7 out of state shows in the South and Midwest and couldnt ask for a better truck. Sometimes i forget theres a 28ft enclosed trailer with a car in it behind me rollin down the interstate, (a couple of speeding tix to prove it) lol.

Since i got it i upgraded to Recon LED's, and added a Edge Juice with Attitude controller that i mounted in the overhead console with some billet bracket i found on ebay. I also had some 22.5 Alcoas cut for it and lifted it with a Fabtech kit. I ordered reservoir shocks for the front and back from the same guy i got my wheels from but it looks like im going to get ripped off since its been 5 months and i cant get in touch with the jerk! (Sidenote: Buyer beware of Evil Twin Suspensions in Layton / Clearfield, Utah... if i was closer i would show up at that guys shop and smack him so hard in his mouth he would be shitting teeth for a week... but thats another story for another time i guess). Hey, anyone in Utah wanna make a few bucks? lol :D

Anyways... at some point i want to do some more stuff to it, which im sure ill have plenty of questions about. I think some kind of exhaust upgrade may be next as i stomped on the accelerator pedal yesterday and blew the factory exhaust apart at one of the joints, lol. I just popped the pipe back into the other one. Ill have to get out there this weekend and tighten the clamp i guess. I guess im gonna have to start looking for some shocks too.

Just wanted to introduce myself and apologize ahead of time for asking stupid questions since im new to the diesel world. :baby:

Welcome mate!
Lose that stock crap and straight pipe it in 4" from the downpipe back. The drop in egt's will be a help to your truck!
There should be a vendor here that can hook you up.

Nice looking truck by the way!!:thumb:

Hey man welcome. Nice looking truck. Good to see another west TN guy on here. Ever been to Pickwick lake you go right by my house if you go down hwy 57. X2 on doing the exhaust towing that trailer you need to let it breath. I got my MBRP 4" turbo back kit from alligator perf. with the 6" polished tip and I got a AFE cai from a swap meet. No troubles here.

I had some Bilstein shocks but the guy sent ones that were too long so i sent them back. He said Bilstein didnt make the ones i wanted (i think they were called 7100 series? they were linda like a brushed nickel finish, 2" reservoir) so he was supposed to send me some Fox shocks... so far nothing but excuses about Fox being on back order... this has been since Feb. so ill probably never see them.

Thanks to everyone else for the warm welcome!
