2500us holding 38psi boost on a stock turbo. Or 2125 and 32psi on the same stock turbo. With out any regard to damage, or if it held perfect rail pressure on both which would you get a higher power number. stock turbo and 60 injectors.

Higher boost doesn't mean more air. As the turbo leaves high efficiency in it's map your boost can go up but because of heat your air volume can go down. Don't forget boost is a measurement of restriction not a measurement of air volume.

I just wondered if it would be a big difference on a dyno. I know when boost pulses up and down like when your Target vane position is way off the max vane. It pulls harder when it pulses up to 38

You have other variables with the difference in pulse, but on my LBZ with the stock turbo my truck felt stronger at 32-34 psi than it did at 37-38. No other changes were made to the tune. Aslo EGT's were a little lower with the lower boost.

Thoroughbred diesel in Winchester. Only allow 35 trucks in the stock turbo class. Have a 2.6 and an unlimited class, free spectating. I "think" the food will be free also.

With a VVT vane position can have an effect as well.. Same vane position on both tunes?

I had better luck with lower vane position (decreasing vane position as the rpms come up and fuel comes up)

It makes less boost (which means nothing), but more power and lower egt's. getting the exhaust out efficiently is just as important as getting the air in...

Haven't run yet but an 05 chevy out of Indiana put down 580 that's pretty impressive for a stock unmodified turbo class. That's what the rules say atleast.

I did 540 and 1096. Think I'm the highest duramax other than the one with the cheetah turbo, which it maybe a stock one idk.
