Have an 01" lb7 with 221k.. not much history on it, owned it since 215k. Truck has torque converter rattle. I pulled a 40' pj gooseneck with 22k lb. Alfalfa hay about 2 1/2 hours about a week ago. The rattle has gotten worse and during acceleration now I have to back pedal throttle a little to get it to stop then accelerate again.. Im not sure if I should buy torque converter, do some upgrades to tranny or possibly time to consider to do a rebuild. Transmission shifts good and pulls good so not sure what direction to go. I dont want to grenade torque converter and end up tearing up tranny. Need some professional advice/experience, Mike?
