just wanted to warn everyone about the addictiveness of cb radio. it has almost consumed my life as much as diesel's  i didn't know this could happen. but i now find myself making my own antennas and looking at linear amplifiers the way i look at a GT 4294, i just want them both. so if your already on the edge with your wife about buying diesel go fast parts, please stay out of amateur radio. ;)

speaking of cb's

i needs one. what do you recommend
well that depends what you want out of it, if all you want is to talk to truckers and whatnot go for a regular 40 ch cb. if you want some power and extra channels get a 10-meter radio. i buy all my stuff from http://www.sparkyscbshack.com he does very good work and his shipping is very fast. i can give ya a few forum websites that have a ton of info about radio's ;)

There was a video on that site of suburban with 6 alternators. What is he running to need that much power? Would he be using 115V or 12v off of that setup? It has to be for some radios surely.

it was prob his "keydown" or competition truck. alot of those guys are running over 15,000 watts  there are some guys that run nitrous on there engines just so when they turn on the amps it doesn't stall the engine
