V2 or software problem???

Hi folks, I haven't done any logging or made any changes to tuning with my truck for monthes. I wanted to log the other day and it wouldn't connect. I have the latest download from the website, bootblock 2.07.06 and firmware 2.07.52 ... What is the problem!?

Did you try the regular scan tool instead of the v8 scanner?

Yeah, V7.5 is all I use. I didn't know the version 8 logging stuff was set up yet, looks amazing though.

Your Firmware is out of date, open EFI Live control panel and update the firmware.

I think I figured it out. I usually get the updates from off the website, this time I went to programs opened "check for updates" under version 8 and 7.5 and there was an update for 7.5! I have no tunes under version 8 now, that's strange.

You want the November 7th release, that matches your firmware version.

The only other release out is the Nov 21st Beta/Public which has a different firmware version.

Try uninstalling both v7.5 and v8 and re downloading/installing them

I was able to log, version 8 is still goofy. I need to look into that when I have time.

Mine does that sometimes and all my stuff is UTD and seems my issue is the USB port itself on my laptop, if I unplug it after it shows this and change to a different port it fixes itself, not sure if that could be something you could try or not. Hope you figure it out, he'll mine gave me a interface cable warning when I tried to load some tunes, something about commercial licenses I believe, unplugged it, plugged it in and worked fine. Electronics can be so odd. Maybe this will help you not sure
