Side note from fuel temp thread

At night running 70 mph outside air 65. Under hood air temp was steady at 68-69.

Got off the highway to pull into a Pilot. By the time I stopped in the parking lot under hood air temp was 95 and still climbing

After a few minutes of sitting with the truck off air temp was 115. Took about 4 miles on the highway for the under hood air temp to cool back down to 4-5 over outside temp

VERY INTERRESTING! how about low speed driving like 25-45mph? how was this affecting your fuel temps?

I 'll check slow speed in a bit

Part 2. Daytime highway towing 7000 pounds outside temps 85. If I stayed above 65 under hood temp was high 90's. As soon as I would slow to get off eway or slow down to 50 in the couple construction zones under hood temp + fuel temp at the filter started climbing. And like in the fuel temp thread ran the factory tank down and fuel temp climbed, topped off and fuel temp dropped.

Next up highway spEeds not towing

The few miles of city driving I did under hood air temps go up fast followed by fuel temp. 3-4 miles of it and temps were 130s. Took 30 minutes on the highway to get fuel back below 100
