when my ride is cold, it makes whines until it warms up, then i dont hear it anymore. i bought this 05 gmc in may and has 101k on it. is it possible its normal or maybe abused in its early years, with say a chip or pulling a big load often? is it worth worrying about?

I would feel better if the sump filter was fresh along with the spin on. Yes I've heard it a lot but I still don't take chances on filters.
