long snap ring pliers, 90* screwdrivers, a press or some sort of compression tool for your c1/c2 assembly, a good torque wrench, brake clean, and thats all i can think of really right now im sure im fogetting something.

A PTO mount makes assembly easier. I would get a ATSG manual and write down your clutch pack clearances as you check them and circle the thrust bearings in the book after you check each of those to make sure they are installed the right way. You'll sleep better if you can look back at the book and know for sure that you did everything. I would also have a phone number handy to call an experienced trans builder, I know I made a few phone calls and asked for help.
