Genssi cree 80w 3157 led off of ebay, 25 bucks and I'm very happy with them, you can also get them on amazon and read reviews there but definitely cheaper on ebay, now when I got bulbs the projector does jiggle around, but I'm living with it cause they are bright as frigg, lol
Awesome thanks. Might give them a shot. One of my reverse lights went out after a year. And they were 50 bucks. I did like them though.

No problem, I haven't had them in more than a week so far, so we'll see, I'm in the colder climates so maybe that will lower their Temps to make em last longer? But for the amount of light they give off I'm happy even if it's 8 months from now I have to replace them, just like my silverstar ultras, extremely happy with the color and brightness I get from them I don't want to leave them till I get projector headlamps, then it's back to the xenon. Lol

Okay, so now that I have done the drl mod, my drl doesn't work without the headlights on, turn on the headlights their on, turn off headlights with truck running and in neutral they don't come on anymore, I disconnected the diode from drl relay and still nothing, when I put the diode in the truck was running and I connected wrong pins with the diode, had to look up cause I thought it was pins 86 not 87, but the headlights weren't on when it sparked but all those fuses are fine and relays are fine, don't get why it doesn't work, any advice?

Never mind, fixed it, was a blown ign.fuse, once I got that going, the drl came back on but this time the headlights were on also, replaced diode and all is well again, it's weird diode allowed power to go both ways when it fails, thought it would just blow like a fuse or something, learn something new every day, lol:happy2:

Will these lights plug right into the stock head light plug or do you have aftermarket head lamps

The drl bulbs are 3157 and plug right into factory socket, I still have factory housing, but will hopefully soon upgrade to the anzo chrome u-bar projector headlights and them do a xenon bulbs in that from ebay, should be plug and play,

I have a intermittent problem, if my trans fluid is 35° or below, and I shift into drive, there is first gear for a second, then feels like it slips, bangs then it's in third and won't come out, my ONLY codes are p0700 and p1711, 219k, don't know what to do, if I let the truck warm up by backing out of garage and high idle for a while so it's 40°+ there isn't a problem, just want to fix it, I don't ever drive the truck stone cold but if I needed to pull it forward quick while it's stone cold, this is what I get. Please any suggestions?

Well, still no replies to my question and have'nt found anything online, but that's not the reason for this post. Today I installed Sulastic shackles, and Rancho 9000xl's today, only went for short drive and need to dial in shocks a bit more, front at 4 and rear at 3 but I think there is difference on big bumps in the rear, and no diff on small creases, this is majorly cause by the shocks being stiffer than the old factory ones that were on there, the old shocks had very little compression resistance, and alot of expansion resistance. So rear Ranchos on 3 they are naturally stiffer than what was on there, feels more controlled. I'll try 2 on rear and 3 on front, I still felt what was like the beaming issue still but could be my imagination, I installed a while ago the hydrolic rear cab bushings, seemed to smooth things tiny bit but not the beaming issue. I'll post pics tommorrow, I also have a YouTube channel with lots of truck vids, "2005llyduramax"- check it out if you want.:thumb:

Today I got my joust stops, I purchased the performance stops from the dmax store, $50. Also got my optilube xpd, will be using that from now on, rated #2 in fuel additive test. Stops were easy to install, didnt even jack truck up, leaned in through wheel well on my leveled truck and pow, out and in.

Update July 2016

Update, truck started leaking coolant from gaskets on both sides, not into cylinder but down the block. In minnesota again, this time doing gaskets and studs on my truck. Won't start working on it till the weekend after this weekend of June 9th. I ordered

from Lincoln diesel their stud and gasket kit as well as factory match replacement autometer guages, also My Favorite part Airdog II 4G 165 lift pump,

from xtreme diesel, stage 1(750hp) pushrods,

from rockauto ac Delco water pump, a1 Cardone powersteering pump, cause I replaced the hydroboost unit, put synthetic royal purple fluid and at low speeds I have almost no powersteering, despite the pump not making any noise,

From amazon, tekonsha 90195 p3 brake controller, as I towed an electric dump trailer that had electric brakes and I didn't have a brake controller, but it didn't tow bad when braking, just extra careful. Now it's ready to tow with trailer brakes as i should have done long ago.

Lift pump comes this Tuesday, water pump comes this saturday, and everything else has come already.

Now running truck on stage 3 superchip before the build, it's pulling great, so responsive, still not a smoker.

So far I've towed
My dad's 12ft enclosed single axle no brakes
Freinds electric dump bed trailer, electric brakes (me:no controller)
Rented 40' boom lift surge brakes
Rented 60' boom lift surge brakes
Uhaul Car dolly w/mom's 01 passat

The gasket leaked couple times but seems to have stopped for some reason, even though i towed 3 trailers and drove over 800+ miles since it leaked been over a month since it dripped. The dump bed was by far the heaviest my truck has hauled since ive owned it, especially without a brake controller to use trailer brakes, full of wood, but safe and fun for me! This truck is awesome! Blessing from GOD all the way around:)

The truck now has head studs, Empire performance stage 1 750hp pushrods, a1 Cardone powersteering pump, ac Delco water pump, and runs like a dream, but we noticed a huge leak from injector line on cylinder 6, unscrewed it and tightened it back up, not leaking anymore, but have to do another oil change to replace my 95 dollar oil change that SAS contaminated by diesel fuel, pray no more leaks any wherected, every injector seal and washer was replaced even on return lines, and everything torqued to spec.

It has been a long year since our head stud job on my lb7, the truck has come and gone a long way since then. It has worked harder than my dads truck has. 27k in 1.25 years and multiple trailers that have been behind my truck. The biggest down side since our head stud job on my lb7 has been the drivers head gasket was initially installed upside down, meaning we drove it for 380miles starving the rocker shaft of oil, meaning there is little metal shavings in the oil, the guy in cold spring said all we needed to do is put a new rocker shaft on it and should be good to go, sadly this has not been done yet and despite the mods that have been done since then it should have been done by now. I've been lazy, but oil pressure had been good. here are some pics of the great work she has done in the last 27k miles.

So, she got, fire stick fm 4' antennas, new tires and rims, toyo open country m/t 285/75/16, 16x8" rims ultra phantom chrome. Towed my mom's old vw passat to the dealer to sort some bugs out after I did engine swap, my cousins ford edge after mishap in grocery store parking lot, some furniture on the flat bed 3x. The best upgrade yet has to be my anzo u-bar projector headlights, followed by morimoto hid kits 6000 or 6500k 50w ballasts in both the head lights and fogs, and the fogs are also a factory upgrade I bought, looks better than the large plastic forehead it had. She also got a pioneer 4200nex with focal ps165v pro 6 3/4" component speakers in the front, installed the tweaters in the pillars instead of the door just like the 06+ trucks have. More speaker upgrades coming. She also went to chicago with me and my uncle to pick up a newer engine for his 05 f250 6.0 powerstroke, it has roughly 25k miles, turbo and all, purrs like a kitten for the moment, where as my truck on the way home let us down abit when I was high on pride about my uncles 6.0 needing a new engine, the coolant temp sensor we replaced when doing head gasket failed completely, was bouncing off 0-80 degrees by the time we got to oreilly's to replace it 80miles from home, it acted as if the injectors were going to come through the hood, no power, clatter through the roof, tranny acted as if it was slipping, but a new sensor and was like brand new, except my operating temperature sits higher now, assuming a margin of error between sensors, was 186-192 now 192-194 depending on load.it also went to chicago 2 other times for airport trips, and a trip to Indiana for a new car my uncle bought. I also got my low pressure light for my airdogg installed next to high idle switch recently. She has been a good girl and a reliable one. The next upgrades include a whole new front end to be purchased yet, including a red head gear box, from dmax store, pitman, idler, tie rods inner outer with sleeves, idler support, cognito brace it, and bilstein steering shock. With the new tires I have a 70-75mph vibration that is do to my idler and an inner tie rod. So just replace it all I say, lol with my new tires I have installed dyna balancing beads, they work great except my sloppy front end making a vibration highly recommend to everyone on the dyna beads. For my size tires it was $80, I bought a set for Dads truck since he has same size tires as me, but he is waiting till his next rotation to put them in since they have to break the bead with the off road beads, the regular beads go through the stem. Just depends on your Tire and size, they have charts that make it easy, and you can email them with questions on specific tires and sizes like I did.

A quick update couple years later,
She's still kicking. Finally bit the bullet and got her a brand new set of Bosch injectors, runs like a champ. Ended up needing a tranny swap, 260k or so, the torque converter was engaging very jank. Had to move back to MN and doing so towing my car trailer, couldn't have a weak tranny. $1100 got me a 120k mile tranny that shifts like brand new.
At the same time she got fleece tranny lines and a dmax store arctic trans cooler. She's got 267 now, going strong. She's actually in the shop today to get the rust bubbles above the windshield fixed so I can get the window replaced. I'm starting anothe blog about the mods I've done to the interior, cause the list gets long. I have since boughton and built a 2006 lbz rolling chassis that has 348k miles. Put a new engine and she runs like new, trans was replaced previously and by now I've replaced most other parts related to age and driveline.

This is the 06 lbz, she cleans up good, but bed is shot, and rockers are going. Other than that, she rocks and rolls
