Some of you may have seen in my truck thread I want to do projector retrofits in my truck. Started this thread for me and others with questions and comments. I will only be using parts from theretrofitsource.com. Everyone suggests the mini h1 7.0 for the low beams https://www.theretrofitsource.com/p...projectors/bi-xenon-morimoto-mini-h1-7-0.html

Questions:
1- will these fit in the high beam spot as well on an 06 silverado?

2- if not what’s yalls opinions on https://www.theretrofitsource.com/p...rojectors/bi-xenon-morimoto-matchbox-2-0.html or even these https://www.theretrofitsource.com/p...ors/bi-led-profile-hi-lens-led-high-beam.html

3- anyone have experience with their more economical ACME line? https://www.theretrofitsource.com/projector-kits/hid-led-projectors/bi-xenon-acme-standard-h1.html

4- also I notice 1A auto has factory replica lights for a good deal. Would these be a good candidate? https://www.1aauto.com/chevy-lighting-kit/i/1alht00142?f=834705&y=2006

Possibly could use the led high beams posted above in the DRL spot since they’re dual intensity. Low for DRL and high for high beams along with the projectors

Here’s the mod pods I was talking about for another DRL option and turn signals https://www.theretrofitsource.com/l...nning-lights/morimoto-mod-pod-led-lights.html

Thanks for all your thoughts in advance.

I ran minis in lows and leds in the highs. Hids need to get warm and flicking them on a off will kill the bulbs and igniters fast.

I ran high beam splitters so the hid cut off shield would flip up when high beams were engaged and the hid had full out put.

That said I’m not exactly sure how the lights on the Lbz work.

I also used the acme leds and they were nice. Have not tried their hids.

So if these projectors are low and high beam both, what or how could I use the second projector? Keep the factory setup and not utilize the bixenon feature? Then use the diode trick to have all 4 headlights on at the same time?

They have a splitter for the hi beams that goes from the projector to the hi bulb making all 4 come on. With the projectors and LEDs in my brights they are hella bright!
