Any one with any experience with a good replacement intermediate steering shaft for my lbz?
It’s time for a new one put new red head gearbox on in fall and did not fix the play to my expectations
It’s winter here and driving in deep snow is a handfull

Moved over to Chassis/Suspension.

The intermediate shaft shouldnt have anything to do with play in the steering, should it? The big issue with them was the clunking problem.

From previous threads here and at the Place, sometimes those rebuilt boxes still have play in them. Many people have gone thru multiple replacements til they got one that worked well.

The acdelco replacements are inexpensive enough and have been updated for about a decade now. I've never had an issue with any that Ive installed. If you haven't done either of the two shafts, just do them both at the same time, along with the upper bearing
