A tale as old as time, I cracked a piston in my LBZ (#4) I got it pulled, tore down, and my block, heads, and crank sent to the machine shop. I was dyno tuned at 510hp and 1,169tq all on stock internals. Wasn’t always on Tune 5 but lasted significantly longer than expected. My original plan for the crank, was to have it Keyed and an Alt firing camshaft installed. But I’ve recently been reading a lot on that still not being enough. I’m looking to make 650 when the build is done, should I just go with the Callie’s crank?

I would go with the Callie's for the extra insurance.
I started with a new stock back in "16" and snapped mine with over 200k on it. I'm going with the Callie's next. Good luck with your build.
Just my 2¢

The last callies crank i got was $1385 to my door. That's cheap insurance in my opinion. By the time you get the stock used one checked, polished if needed, and keyed you're not far off.

Everything diesel-related is expensive. I get it -- we're a niche market -- but cmon....
