Rebuilding gt and gtx turbos

What do you think between the s472 or s475?
I can't hardly blame the turbo's if it wasn't getting any oil... Ball bearing or not they won't live without lube

This is very true but much more cost effective to work with Borg's. Garrett Chargers are waaay over priced imo.
Call Gillette in Utah I have spoken to them in the past and they will rebuild Garrett BB turbos...
I understand that but he already has the Garretts and the plumbing for them. I would be very surprised if he could swap to Borg turbos and plumbing for less than new center sections or as Paint mentioned Gillette rebuilds.
Steve at Gillett is my guy. I live just down the street from them and use them for all my turbo needs. Although I've never dealt with any BB turbos...
Thank you, I'll give him a call. From what I'm being told the gt stuff can be rebuilt the gtx stuff is the issue. The new center section is just over 2k.
If all else fails I may be willing to split up my kit.
If it comes to it I'll prob go with a billet s475, it's bs that you have to buy a whole center cartridge. I'm still exploring my options at this point. Thank you though
Have you tried contacting garrett? If your center sections are reusable maybe you could have them done at a reasonable price.

Yes I've called them. They said I have to buy a new one. Something to do with the gtx stuff
