Question: Random Jeep/CanAm question

so, my dad lives on the western foot of pikes peak here in colorado. He lives in a cabin way back in the mountains and has to haul in his own drinking water to his house. So far he's been using his 04 avalanche (ya i know) to haul a 2500lb loaded water tank. Well i gave him my 06 lbz work truck outright to haul in water, plus his avalanche is about toast anyway. Skip ahead about 2 months and he gave me his Jeep, along with the title.
Well, i know absolutely zero about jeeps, nor do i have any desire to keep this thing. So im going to sell it, Well a good friend of mine offered me his 2014 can am maverick X MR as a strait trade, its got 89 miles...ya 89.
Let me know what you guys thank of the trade, or think its worth as a strait sell, cause im having a tough time getting price figured out on this jeep.

Maverick Xmr all stock with 89 miles, he spent 25k on it brand new.

If the jeep is in good condition, someone would rip your arm off for 5 grand. You could get quite a bit more for it. Those heels with a v8 in good condition are getting hard to find.

jeep has a 12k winch, hard top w/doors, bikini top with soft doors, tow bar..I think it has a small lift, not sure tho. also it runs perfect, drives perfect..the wife loves it lol

The resale on the xmr is crap right now due to the x3 and your location. Specially being a 2 seater. Doesn’t matter what he paid back then cause these things have horrible resale due to the dealers dropping prices so damn low when new models come out.

Unless you plan on using it quite a bit to get your use out of it, I wouldn’t trade.

Btw, clean ass jeep! Those are rare to come by in that good of condition

from what i can see, ramses 12000 winch, 3 in lift, 33 in tires, aftermarket skid plates, aftermarket bumper, hard and soft top with doors and a tow bar with lights. not sure if the rims are stock or not.

Those jeeps go for 10-15k out here. Just depends on how fast you want to move it. The maverick will go for 8-11k depending on how fast you want to move it.

Jeeps are easier to move in CO than utv’s from what I’ve seen and read. No rust becomes a big plus for you. Out here it’s a toss up since AZ is so lacks on utv laws.

OK that helps a lot, i think ill list in in a few states and see where it goes, Ive got title in hand so its not like i need to hurry and sell it. Sounds like that'll net the best returns...i know next to nothing about jeeps or side by sides which doesn't help.
