Always wanted to attend this, it look like they have a blast. I made several spud guns, one with compressed air would shoot a golf ball clear through an 1 1/8" piece of ply wood at 50'. Not a toy for sure.

We put a 3' piece of 2" PVC on my cheetah bead seater and OH BOY does that work nicer than an ether spud gun.
I missed it this year have to watch for it on rerun.
Those trebuchet's are sweet. I would love to have the engineering knowledge that goes in designing this one
