Thought I'd share my first public land gobbler, called in by a good buddy of mine. I shot him this morning around 9am after playing cat n mouse with several gobblers since daylight. I know theres more turkey slayers on here post up some pics!!

Thanks guys! I'm pumped this is my second year turkey huntin and I'm hooked. I was always told if I ever tried it I would forget about deer or hogs. It's been true for me so far, theres nothing like it.

nice birds! our season opened here yesterday but i am working all weekend and week. hoping i get to go next weekend.

here is one i killed 5 or 6 yrs ago. 11 1/2" beard, 1 1/2" spurs

Not public land, was on my own farm i deer/turkey hunt, but heres one of my birds i shot this yr. Got a few tags left so hopefully work allows me to get out again. Nothin to crazy, 10 1/2in beard,1 1/8spurs and weighed 23lbs 15oz. I have a few giants on my land, but with turkeys, its hard to pass up a struttin mature tom, when u know u have more tags comin. Lol

PA Birds

My brother and I both shot birds this past saturday on PA's opener. I shot my at 6:30 and he shot his at 8:00. Both were 9.5" beards my was 25lb with 1.25" spurs and his was 22lb with 1.375" spurs. Then this morning I filled my second tag with a 10" beard and 1" spurs didn't weight it. All three hunts were filmed and will be on cabelas spring thunder in the next week or so.
