Procedure for Van Glowplugs

Does anyone have access to the factory/dealer procedure for either performing a compression test or changing glow plugs in a van?

I'd like to do a compression test as I keep losing coolant, but it looks like #5, 6, 8 could be impossible to remove with the body on.

Glow Plug Replacement - Bank 1
Removal Procedure

  1. 1335557.gif
  2. Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement.
  3. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
  4. If necessary, remove the left front wheel and tire. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation.
  5. Remove the engine splash shield. Refer to Wheelhouse Splash Shield Replacement.
  6. Remove the glow plug harness nut(s).
  7. Remove the harness from the glow plug(s).Important: If a glow plug is replaced and the tip is missing or burned off, the cylinder head must be removed and all debris must be cleaned out of the cylinder.
  8. Remove the glow plug(s).
Installation Procedure

  1. 1335557.gif

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.
  2. Install the glow plug(s).
    Tighten
    Tighten the plug to 18 Y (13 lb ft).
  3. Install the harness to the glow plug(s).
  4. Install the glow plug harness nut(s).
    Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 1.7 Y (15 lb in).
  5. If necessary, install the left front wheel and tire. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation.
  6. Install the engine splash shield. Refer to Wheelhouse Splash Shield Replacement.
  7. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
  8. Install the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement.

Removal Procedure

  3. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
  4. If necessary, remove the right front wheel and tire. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation.
  5. Remove the engine splash shield. Refer to Wheelhouse Splash Shield Replacement.
  6. Remove the glow plug harness nut(s).
  7. Remove the harness from the glow plug(s).Important: If a glow plug is replaced and the tip is missing or burned off, the cylinder head must be removed and all debris must be cleaned out of the cylinder.
