Question: OIL Pump Gear

Would it be possible to machine a larger oil pump drive gear. tht way it would increase Psi at idle and all the way throught the rpm range ? or would the pump get driven to fast? or something else catostrophic happen? If it would work it seems it would be a easy solution to getting some more psi in the engine. Ideas sugjestions ect ?

oops i guess i was thinking of it like a under drive pully where a smaller one turned it slower so i asumed a bigger one would turn it faster . I know there are aftermarket pumps not what im looking for. and there pricey as well.
