I was having very low oil pressure (0-1psi idling, 12 cruising, and 17 max accelerating) last night I bought a guage to plug into the turbo supply line and everything for an oil change just cause it was due..

I got the wrong fitting for the guage but did change the oil/filter...just out of curiosity, I fired it up. Now, cold on ignition it'll hit 45 psi, idle down after about 10 min to 7 psi. Once it gets hot, itll idle at 4 psi, under light acceleration it'll go up to 36psi-38psi...normal cruising it average 34psi...when I stop at a light it'll read anywhere from 3psi-6psi setting off the alarm.

No dripping or any leakage from what I can tell, hoping to get a guage reading tonight and rule out a sensor. Anybody know what these symptoms are leaning towards?

Looks like you're going to join the built motor club :spit:

But on a serious note I hope its a bad sensor. If you need a hand you know how to get ahold of me. My schedule is pretty open

I'm really hoping this isn't it, ill at least test the actual pressure tomorrow on the turbo oil supply..besides the pressure, what else can I check externally to see if it is the bearings?
Nothing, if you have low oil pressure verified with a mechanical gauge and your oil is good i guess it could be a worn oil pump but its probably the bearings.

And here's this, strained the oil from the last night, feels like real fine grainy material, almost thick. And these two

Anything decided on this?

Yes sir, after the oil change I started it up, and the pressure was looking better, not great but better. It set that day while I was at work, , the following morning I started it again and it jumped to 52 psi cold and idled at 11 warm...so finally 3 days ago I took for a spin just to see. Jumped to 63 cold, idled warm at 14 and 1800 rpm it'll hang at the 44/46 psi mark.

I'm guessing the sender had some gunk on it. I went to pull the sender yesterday but didn't have the right socket. Hopefully this weekend I'll get some time to pull and clean it.

Edit: once it gets hot, when you slow down to a stop it will dip down to 5 or 6 psi...any throttle at all and it jumps right back up. Its still a little low but way better then before. I did pull the turbo feed line and it shot oil out, but I do still need to hook a Mech guage up and clean the sender... Soon as I get some time
