I had a guy telling me there was been a bunch of failures of oil coolers on the new trucks. I hadn't heard that. Is it true? If it is GM sure seems to be trying awfully hard to wreck the reputation it's built with the duramax.

Have yet to hear that. Clearly the 2020 one i have in both trucks has not been an issue. Both have over 50k miles and aint nice to them

I hadn't heard much but That doesn't mean anything. I was more curious cause I was thinking of upgrading to a newer oil cooler and didn't wanna have issues.

I change my own oil and filter, and there are no leaks around the oil cooler.
GM uses the same-style cooler with its LT1 engines, and there are no problems with them.
