Would my CFR be high cuz of #2?

That whole bank is in the negatives fairly deep except for #2.

Looks like a plugged injector, low compression, or hung valve. Something on #2 it's contributing as much as it should

I get kind of a detonation sounding knock like when you add too much timing/fuel. Like trying to spool big injectors but it’s not steady and only sounds like one hole. Does it under slight load 13-1800rpm but if you give it more throttle it goes away.

I could try that through the DVT I guess huh?

So almost no smoke at idle, blue haze in gear which goes away when I cut out #2 so I’m gonna start with that one. If the rest come around then great. If they don’t then I’ll start getting things together to change them all. Only 30 000 miles on these ones but I have no idea what they are as it was done 4 years ago before I bought the truck.

You might want to physically verify that the number 2 that it says is actually number 2 and not another. Maybe try one of those non contact voltage detectors to see if you can detect which one it's turning off for real

Good idea. I don’t have one that’s good for dc but I suppose I could unplug that injector and run a jumper for #4 and see if it still does it. I may even be able to just unpin one wire from the plug if I can find my Delphi kit.

Need to figure out what wires go to #2 injector……yellow I think go from the connector to injector for #2 and #4 is the red wires.

A regular AC one should work as it's a pulsing signal that should trigger the tester

So, maybe someone can explain this to me cuz I don’t get it.

I cut out a cylinder with the Autel and efilive, check it with the inductive voltage detector and ALL cylinders still have voltage going to the injectors. I know it’s cutting out a cylinder because I can hear it. So fine, I get out the old alligator jumpers and do it old school with an old school test light and same deal. Doesn’t matter which injector I cut out.

Moving past this I went even older school and just cut out one injector at a time by unhooking a jumper, and checked the codes to see what cylinder popped up with a code. I only did the even bank and all the injectors on that side lined up with the codes as I cut them out so the cut out test and codes for at least that side align with what efi live and the Autel both say so that’s good.

Still going after #2 injector-if it ever shows up……but that’s another frustrating story.

Got it changed out. Only ran into a few dicked bolts and some half assery from the mechanic that worked on this previously. Definetly know what I need to order next time around.

Calculated dropped back down to about 9. I got 2 others that are running in the 3-4 range but I’m gonna let them ride for now and plan to change all 8 next year. Price for SAC’s are reasonable now so might go that route.
