I had an oil change a week ago. I changed my fuel filter on Thursday and it started up no problem right after. I even restarted the engine later on that day to make sure. Today, I've got dash, blower, radio, dome light but weird clicking at 16-17 seconds on this video. From the threads here I really don't think it is frayed wires or starter. I think it is battery because I had water issues on passenger battery earlier this summer. https://vimeo.com/194289769

Do you have a way to test the batteries? Did you try jump starting it.

I don't have a battery tester, however Valvoline did test the batteries last Wednesday when the oil was changed. I don't know how they isolated one battery from the other based on how they are tied together. They said they were fine, it did seem to me that leading up to this she was cranking over a little slower. Batteries are 2 years old. As far as jumping, I tried to use a harbor freight jumper unit, but no success. Maybe it doesn't have enough juice to make it happen?

You have to disconnect the batteries to isolate them. You could very well have some bad cells in one of them. Sounds like what mine was doing earlier this year. These trucks usually jump better off the pass side battery.

Ok. Thanks. Makes sense to me. I tried to jump using the bolt inside the red junction box and adjacent ground post. I'm confident that there could be bad cells in passenger and was really surprised when Valvoline said it was ok. My driveway looked like this until I put in my plexi shield to divert water draining into battery from windshield.
